MY TOP 5 FAVORITE DRUGSTORE FOUNDATIONS!

I have been experimenting with a range of drugstore foundation brands to find the top 5 must haves! I used to spend a shit load of money on big brand foundations my favorite was Chanel  (starting from £30-35). I began to realize that maybe I could get more from my money and find a cheaper foundation that produce the same results!. Here are my top 5 drugstore foundations!....

5. Rimmel London's Wake Me Up Foundation:
This will not be the only Rimmel London product featured in my top 5 however, this specific foundation is perfect to apply onto tired skin. It's lightweight coverage improves the appearance of pours and covers dark circles around the eyes and literally awakens your skin! Not to mention it feels so refreshing and cool on your skin. For some individuals makeup can feel like a chore but Rimmel London's Wake Me Up Foundation feels more like applying a gentle cooling face cream. From my personal perspective this foundation was perfect for me during exam season as I was frequently having late nights and very little sleep, the Wake Me Up Foundation succeeded in providing me with that radiant awaken glow I desired. In addition this product didn't provide me with a full face coverage which for me is my personal preference  so I don't recommend this foundation to those who suffer from breakouts or acne or simply those who desire a full coverage. Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation priced at £8.99. I use the color Soft Beige

4.  Revlon Colorstay 24 hour Foundation:
As some of you may have seen I had already made a blog post about this product however, I thought as it was one of my favorite foundations and was purchased in a drugstore it would only be fair to include it in my top 5. First and foremost I love the fact that this foundation comes in a generous range of skin colors! Starting from the fairest of skins all the way to the darkest which is great as it is fit for women of all ethnicities . I used this foundation for my busiest of days as this lightweight foundation does not need to be reapplied later during the day! It lasts all the way Into the night
It says 24 hour lasting but iv never worn makeup for 24 hours.....I think.
The best part is it provides a matte finish that last all day so you don't have to worry about your T zone appearing oily during the day. Revlon's Colorstay Foundation provides a fair coverage that is suitable for those with very mild outbreaks and reduces the appearance of imperfections such as scares and large pours. As I mentioned in my previous post 2 or more layers of this foundation can make your skin appear too matte and dry!!!! Remember less is more!!! Revlon Colorstay 24 hour Foundation priced at £12.49. I use the color 180 Sand Beige

3. MaxFactor FaceFinity 3 in 1 Foundation:
For the past two foundations I have not recommended them for individuals who like myself suffer from breakouts or have acne! But have no fear my loves I have found one that fits your preference!! MaxFactor's FaceFinity is a 3 in 1 foundation which means it is not only a foundation but it is also a primer and concealer.....oh my goddddd!!!
Yes that's right everything you need in one bottle!!! When I have had one of my bad skin days this foundation has been great covering those unwanted blemishes. The concealer is very affective and I was quite surprised by the results, the included primer adheres the foundation and makes it last longer so there is no need to re apply during the day! A light appliance can give you a flawless glow effect however, a medium to heavy appliance can provide you with a matte finish that doesn't look too dry! Due to 3 in 1 formula it can feel heavy on your skin at first but then feel lighter once it had dried. The downside to this foundation is it's color range is not a broad as the previous foundations I have talked about during this post but is worth it if you desire a full face coverage!
MaxFactor FaceFinity 3 in 1 Foundation priced at £12. I use the color Golden 75.

2. Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation:
This comes second mainly based on its ability to match and blend with all skin types!! It's formula is enriched with smart tone technology that works with your skin color to create a natural flawless finish and looks perfect under any light (natural or superficial light) it gives me a fair coverage and I use this most days as it is easy to apply and I personally love a dewy glowing look and Rimmel London's Match Perfection Foundation does just that! Therefore this foundation wouldn't be suitable for those who desire a matte finish however, do not worry there is a Match Perfection Powder range! I have found that when applying this foundation it's so light that it is very hard to get that cake face look even after 2 or 3 appliances. There is one downside to this foundation, I have found that it easily transfers onto clothes, pillow ect... And doesn't have a lasting finish like the Wake Me Up range but is worth getting if you have very fair skin as it comes in a generous range of fair skin complexions as well as olive, medium to dark complexions. If you prefer a dewy glow finish then I advise you use this foundation, as well it has the best price range out of all included in my top 5. Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation priced at £4.99. I use the color Soft Beige.

1. Drum roll....................
Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation:
This is my all time favorite drugstore foundation!!!!! It's healthy mix formula is a mixture of fruit therapy that provides radiance, hydration, anti-oxidant and energy to your skin throughout the day! This combination gives a long lasting full coverage. I personally adore this foundation it smells great and feel refreshing a cool to apply as well as giving me the perfect coverage for my breakouts which means I don't need to go over them with concealer! It feels very lightweight on my skin however it is easy to get a caked face look with this foundation after more than 2 appliances. For me I found that I didn't need to touch up or re apply during the day and it lasted throughout the day and remained flawless even during hot weather. As I have mentioned before I do prefer a dewy coverage and Boujois Healthy Mix Foundation does the job!! This is my main foundation that I use on a daily basis, I couldn't be more happier with the results and I highly recommend this product to those with dry skin and suffer from breakouts and mild acne.
Bounjois Healthy Mix Foundation Priced at £10. I use the color Beige.

I hope this has helped those who are looking to change or try a new foundation. There are many good high street makeup brands that work just as good as the high end brands however are half the price of course! Remember everyone's skin is different so please remember if you suffer from dry skin it is better to go for a mainly oil based foundation and for those with very oily skin try a more matte finish foundation. And for those who like myself suffer from bad skin there are many products such as MaxFactor FaceFinity and Boujois Healthy Mix that can provide you with that full coverage look you desire so there is no need to waste all that money on expensive brand foundations that can do the same as some drugstore brands.
